About Us
Through our sustainable practices and alternative solutions, we’ve helped over 10,000 families say goodbye to their loved ones.
How It All Began...
In 1995 Gail, Heather, Carl and Scott Marlow lost their mam, Anne Denise. She died age 53 of cancer. They helped their dad arrange his wife’s funeral and it was a devastating time for them all. As with any individual, and any family, they moved on with their lives, but each with their own feelings and opinions of what they had been through.
For Carl, he felt like the funeral planning process that he had experienced, lacked in many ways, except cost! Ultimately, it did not reflect or celebrate his mum’s life and personality. And so, Go As You Please Funerals was born.
The Present Day...
Over the last 20+ years the business has gained experience, ideas, people, vehicles… lots of vehicles, premises, a field, dogs! And much more. The core values of the business remain as they started: to break the taboos and boundaries of the funeral industry, to give families what they want. The result is an independent business, still run by Carl, along with a wonderful team of really nice people.
Meet The Team
We understand that the death of a loved one can be incredibly hard to process and making decisions on how to lay your loved one to rest isn’t something you consider on a daily basis. Having the right people by your side is so important.
